CMI Media Group is seeking a Social Media Advertising Associate to join our Paid Social team. This role is pivotal in managing and supporting paid social media advertising processes across diverse platforms. Collaborate with experienced team members to enhance initiatives for designated brands. Responsibilities include optimizing social media campaigns, contributing to strategic planning, crafting engaging advertisement content, and analyzing performance metrics. Key responsibilities encompass audience targeting, budget oversight, competitor evaluation, and effective cross-departmental communication. Stay updated on industry trends and adjust strategies to ensure campaign effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Campaign Strategy & Oversight:
    • Assist senior team members in formulating paid social media advertising strategies.
    • Prepare estimates for paid social initiatives across networks such as Meta, TikTok, X, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
    • Oversee contracts for all paid social media activities, including external data/audience partners and platform costs.
    • Manage the traffic of paid social campaigns, conduct quality assurance processes, and initiate campaigns.
    • Daily management and optimization of paid social campaigns, providing regular status updates.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work with senior team members to manage external partnerships, coordinating tasks, and tracking the status of ongoing projects.
    • Collaborate with creative agencies to suggest modifications in messaging, placement, or scheduling.
    • Conduct competitive audits based on the advertising presence of clients' competitors across social media platforms.
    • Maintain a calendar for paid campaigns, detailing promotional activities across all social channels.
  • Analytical & Industry Insight:
    • Manage and update annual brand budgets, including actual spending from paid social media activities.
    • Develop insights into how healthcare professionals and consumers engage with social media, helping to distinguish audience segments.
    • Stay informed about the role of social media in the pharmaceutical sector, particularly regarding FDA regulations and processes.
    • Utilize social analytics tools to evaluate content promotion efforts and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Continuously research the evolving social media landscape, remaining aware of trends, new platforms, and shifts in consumer behavior.

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient in PC usage and possess solid working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel (basic understanding of pivot tables and V-Lookups).
    • Experience with digital media and social analytics tools.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Interest in the Healthcare/Pharmaceutical sector.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships.
    • Strong quantitative analysis skills, capable of making recommendations based on statistically significant data sets.
    • Proficient in leveraging industry knowledge and experience to contribute to brand strategy recommendations and platform exploration.
    • Strong business and leadership skills to make independent decisions impacting daily operations and campaign management.
Experience:
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in digital media or a related background is advantageous.
    • Prior experience managing paid social media campaigns in a professional environment.

**The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $40,000- $45,000 annually.
