Job Summary

The University of Exeter is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead the implementation of strategic learning and development initiatives. As a key member of the Wellbeing, Inclusion & Culture team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering programmes that support the development of our staff and enhance our organisational culture.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term appointment until 31st July 2024, with the possibility of an extension of 6 months, contingent on funding. You will work closely with the WICC Project Manager and other key stakeholders to deliver a range of learning and development initiatives, including the design and delivery of training programmes, workshops, and coaching sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver learning and development programmes that meet the needs of our staff and support the achievement of our organisational goals
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their learning and development needs and develop programmes that meet those needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, managers, and staff
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of learning and development programmes, including logistics, budgeting, and evaluation
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programmes and make recommendations for improvement

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Excellent programme management skills, with experience of designing and delivering learning and development programmesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levelsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approachKnowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in learning and developmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
