Compensation:
The pay rate for this position ranges from $32.00 to $36.00 per hour.

Position Summary:
Under the guidance of Project Management, the role involves the daily operation and maintenance of the wastewater facility, including all associated infrastructure, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical operations and maintenance activities related to the wastewater facility and its infrastructure.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems.
- Carry out wastewater sampling and laboratory monitoring in accordance with project and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all equipment and processes are maintained and functioning optimally.
- Adhere to safety protocols and corporate policies while executing tasks.
- Be available for weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts as required.
- Respond to emergencies and work additional hours as necessary to complete tasks.
- Contribute to fostering a culture of engagement and safety excellence within the project.
- Maintain accurate operational and maintenance documentation.
- Operate project vehicles and heavy equipment safely.
- Perform housekeeping duties across all facilities.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Work Environment:
The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with exposure to various weather conditions. Employees may encounter noise, dust, fumes, and other environmental factors. Safety precautions are essential when working in areas with moving machinery and uneven surfaces.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 2-3 years of experience in the water or wastewater industry or related fields is preferred.
- Experience in laboratory or utility-related roles is beneficial.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong reading, math, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret data from various equipment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows and Office, as well as knowledge of SCADA and PLC systems.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to implement corrective actions.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions and understand technical manuals.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and regulations.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and independent work capabilities.
Certifications:
- Valid CA Grade IIA or higher Wastewater Treatment Operator License.
- Valid CA Driver's License and compliance with risk management guidelines.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to communicate effectively, stand, walk, climb, and perform manual tasks. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and distinguish colors is also necessary.
