Operations and Maintenance Technician I-III

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations and Maintenance Technician I-III to join our team at Veolia North America. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our wastewater facilities, ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of wastewater.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical operations and maintenance activities related to the wastewater facility, including all related infrastructure, equipment, processes, and systems.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance of equipment and processes.
- Collect and analyze wastewater samples and laboratory data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a culture of focus and engagement at the project to achieve Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) excellence.
- Operate equipment and processes manually and through instrument control panels, and perform cleanup and housekeeping activities at all facilities, buildings, and grounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 4+ years of experience working in the water or wastewater industry or related fields.
- Valid NY Grade IIIA or higher Wastewater Treatment Operator License required.
- Valid NY Driver's license and ability to meet risk management guidelines.
- Strong reading, math, writing, and verbal communication skills, with ability to read, interpret, and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles, and other equipment.
- Computer skills, knowledge of Windows, Office, Operations, Lab, and CMMS programs, SCADA and PLC equipment and systems.
Work is performed both inside and outside with exposure to all kinds of weather conditions. Employee may be occasionally exposed to some noise, silica, dust, fumes, smoke, gases, greases, oils, electrical energy, solvents, and vibrations. Employee may work on slippery/uneven surfaces, around machinery with moving parts, moving objects/vehicles, and ladder/scaffolding, below ground and may be exposed to water and other liquid materials.
