Overview:
The Personnel Security Specialist II plays a vital role in ensuring the security of personnel within our organization. This position is essential for managing security operations and supporting the facility's security framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily personnel security operations for various classified programs.
- Maintain comprehensive logs and databases related to security functions.
- Conduct data entry into security systems and manage personnel access records.
- Assist in the upkeep of security files for all personnel.
- Develop and maintain tracking tools for security activities.
- Adhere to and enforce established security protocols and procedures.
- Support security training and awareness initiatives.
- Perform administrative tasks as directed by site leadership.
- Coordinate with government personnel on security clearance processes.
- Prepare and review access requests for accuracy and eligibility.
- Conduct thorough reviews of candidates for access to sensitive programs.
- Facilitate classified visit requests as required.
- Provide mentorship and quality assurance to team members.
- Engage with senior management for access approval decisions.
Qualifications:
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in sensitive information security.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Completion of JPAS training is mandatory.
- Familiarity with security policies and guidelines is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
- Ability to work independently and creatively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the designated area.
- Completion of necessary training programs is required.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must possess a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information is required.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.
Compensation and Benefits:
