Compensation: $110,000 to $130,000 annually.

Position Summary:
The Wastewater Production Supervisor operates under the general guidance of the Chief Plant Operator (CPO) and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and repair activities at the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility (ECLWRF) and associated systems. This role involves prioritizing and approving service requests, coordinating maintenance tasks, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while meeting client quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly report to the Chief Plant Operator and occasionally act in this capacity.
- Oversee a team consisting of four shift leads and twelve operators.
- Perform both operational and supervisory duties, including covering for shift leads as necessary.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and treatment processes.
- Train and mentor operators and other assigned staff.
- Manage performance evaluations for crew members.
- Serve as a liaison between operations and other departments for special projects.
- Monitor chemical feed rates and ensure adequate supplies are maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with all operational protocols.
- Prepare and submit operational reports and documentation as required.
Work Environment:
The role involves exposure to various environmental conditions, including outdoor weather, moderate noise levels, and potential exposure to chemical substances. Adherence to health and safety guidelines and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or environmental science is preferred.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in wastewater treatment operations, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
Skills and Abilities:
Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, a solid understanding of wastewater treatment principles, and the ability to analyze data effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with computerized maintenance management systems are essential.
Certifications:
Must obtain State Water Resources Control Board Grade IV in Wastewater Treatment within 18 months of employment. A valid driver's license is also required.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds and working in various environmental conditions.
