Position: Business Analyst

Department: Office of Appellate Support (OAS) Technical Infrastructure Branch (TIB)

Sprezzatura Management Consulting is in search of a skilled and meticulous Business Analyst to enhance the operations of the Board's Office of Appellate Support (OAS) Technical Infrastructure Branch (TIB). The ideal candidate will be instrumental in refining our operational processes and systems. This position entails the development of comprehensive business analyses, pinpointing challenges, opportunities, and solutions, while offering extensive support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. The Business Analyst will oversee planning, monitoring, reporting, and conducting variance and market analyses. A strong aptitude for defining business requirements and delivering data-driven insights is crucial.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Business Analysis:
    • Formulate detailed business analyses that highlight challenges, opportunities, and solutions.
    • Identify business trends, issues, and opportunities through thorough research and analysis.
    • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
  2. Financial Modeling and Forecasting:
    • Develop and maintain financial models to aid decision-making processes.
    • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
    • Conduct variance analysis to detect discrepancies from budgets and forecasts.
  3. Planning and Monitoring:
    • Plan and oversee ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on business outcomes.
    • Support the formulation of strategic plans and objectives.
  4. Market Analysis:
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide business strategies.
    • Examine pricing models and market trends to inform pricing decisions.
    • Provide insights into market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry developments.
  5. Business Requirements Definition:
    • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define and document business requirements.
    • Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
    • Ensure that solutions align with business goals and deliver value.
  6. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on financial performance, market conditions, and project progress.
    • Create presentations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of experience in business analysis, financial modeling, and market analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and business intelligence software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
