Job Overview

Position Summary:

Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is on the lookout for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Business Intelligence Analyst. This position involves the creation, development, and upkeep of data-driven solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI. The selected individual will collaborate with various business stakeholders to produce meaningful and actionable data visualizations that facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and implement engaging and visually striking Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to collect requirements and comprehend their needs.
  • Convert raw data into insightful information through effective data modeling and visualization techniques.
  • Enhance Power BI solutions for optimal performance and user experience.
  • Guarantee data integrity and consistency across all reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Deliver training and assistance to end-users regarding Power BI functionalities and tools.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in business intelligence development, particularly with Power BI.
  • Expertise in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
  • Solid grasp of data modeling principles and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with additional BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik.
  • Understanding of SQL and data warehousing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and cloud-based data solutions.
