Legislative Affairs Coordinator Position at GeorgiaGov

We are seeking a dedicated Legislative Affairs Coordinator to play a crucial role in shaping the legal framework within Georgia. In this position, you will serve as the primary point of contact for legislative initiatives, building strong connections with governmental bodies, and overseeing the judicial sector's responses to legislative developments.

Your collaboration with key internal stakeholders, including the Supreme Court and the General Assembly, will be essential in crafting and implementing strategies that align with the legislative goals of GeorgiaGov. You will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating legislation that impacts the judicial system, maintaining an active presence during legislative sessions, and facilitating communication between the executive and legislative branches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve legislative objectives for GeorgiaGov.
  • Track and assess legislation that influences the judicial sector.
  • Facilitate communication with governmental branches on behalf of GeorgiaGov.
  • Oversee special projects and provide support to relevant committees.
  • Direct departmental functions as required.
  • Act as a liaison with trial court councils and deliver informative presentations.
  • Address inquiries from the public and governmental organizations.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of long-term goals.
  • Demonstrate strong competencies in public speaking, policy analysis, and effective communication.
  • Maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion in all professional interactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three years of experience with Georgia's governmental branches.
  • Strong political insight and established connections within Georgia State Government.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License and willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat.
