About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Government Affairs Manager to join our team at Geotab. As a key member of our National Security Solutions and Strategic Commercial Compliance team, you will be responsible for promoting our US legislative agenda and providing subject matter expertise in regulations affecting our strategic objectives and National Security Solutions products and features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our US Legislative Agenda by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to calibrate and coordinate our legislative objectives.
  • Develop and deploy internal regulatory expertise by tracking developments and announcements from U.S. regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Legal professionals, to develop and maintain insights based on the current regulatory climate.
  • Identify regulatory basis and determine appropriate scope for all National Security Solutions and Strategic Commercial Compliance activities.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience with CA, US & EU legal and regulatory processes.
  • Legislative and Executive government affairs expertise required.
  • Comfortable managing spreadsheets, Google Sheets, data trends, and data lookups.
  • Experience working within a technical/engineering organization an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time; ability to travel internationally is required.
