As a key player in the realm of public policy, the Legislative Affairs Coordinator will engage with various governmental bodies to shape the legal framework. This role involves acting as the primary liaison for legislative initiatives, nurturing connections with state entities, and guiding the judicial sector's responses to legislative developments.

In collaboration with essential stakeholders such as the Supreme Court, the General Assembly, and the State Bar, you will be instrumental in devising and implementing strategies that align with the legislative goals of GeorgiaGov. Your responsibilities will include monitoring legislative activities, analyzing bills that impact the judicial system, and representing the organization at the State Capitol during legislative sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet the legislative objectives of GeorgiaGov.
  • Analyze and monitor legislation that affects the judicial sector.
  • Facilitate communication between governmental branches on behalf of GeorgiaGov.
  • Oversee special projects and provide assistance to the Judicial Council and its committees.
  • Manage departmental operations as required.
  • Act as a liaison with trial court councils and deliver informative presentations.
  • Address inquiries from the public and governmental agencies.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of long-term goals.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in public speaking, policy analysis, and effective communication.
  • Maintain professionalism, attention to detail, and discretion in all professional interactions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with Georgia's governmental branches.
  • Strong political insight and established networks within Georgia State Government.
  • A valid Georgia Driver's License and willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat.
