Compensation: $65,560 - Maximum amount is based on experience.
Position SummaryThe Quality Assurance Supervisor will oversee all quality assurance operations. This role involves the implementation, development, auditing, and maintenance of the plant's quality and food safety systems, including HACCP, to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction. The supervisor will provide technical guidance to quality assurance staff, facilitating training and support to maintain their expertise. Additionally, this position will serve as a technical resource for customers, production, and other departments within the plant, as well as interface with local and regional regulatory inspections. The supervisor will also assist in managing ongoing quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing current processes and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Quality and Food Safety: Develop, implement, and maintain all elements of the POM Wonderful Quality and Food Safety systems to ensure compliance.
- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to operations and customers to achieve product quality and address consumer complaints.
- Continuous Improvement: Manage quality projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes and enhancing product quality.
- Team Collaboration: Foster communication, engage staff, support team objectives, and develop employee potential.
- Auditing: Conduct audits, including GMPs, pest control, product quality, and regulatory compliance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Laboratory Oversight: Ensure laboratory practices meet high-performance standards.
- HACCP / FSMA Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain the HACCP and FSMA Food Safety Program.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain processing records for product, packaging, and ingredient recall purposes.
- Quality Control: Isolate non-compliant finished products, ingredients, or packaging materials and recommend appropriate actions.
- Budget Management: Develop departmental budgets and prioritize expenditures to meet financial targets.

- Familiarity with state-specific food safety regulations.
- Ability to maintain a comprehensive business perspective while being hands-on.

Education & Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in Quality Assurance, particularly in a supervisory role within a food safety context in a production or manufacturing environment. A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field is required. Additional training or certifications related to quality assurance or food safety are desirable.
