This role entails boosting market presence, sales, and gross profit for New, Used, and Allied Equipment, Long Term Maintenance Agreements (LTM's), and additional support services offered by MH Equipment Company, while also fostering Customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales, enhance gross profit, expand market share, and meet established targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong Customer relationships through regular sales visits and effective communication.
  • Identify potential prospects and devise strategic action plans to convert them into Customers.
  • Assist Customers with product demonstrations, application assessments, and transition needs.
  • Follow up on all Customer inquiries from both external and internal sources.
  • Engage in product promotions initiated by external and internal teams.
  • Oversee all custom programs implemented at assigned accounts.
  • Initiate, manage, and process quotations and orders in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to maintain Customer information and notes, ensuring regular reviews with management.
  • Address and resolve any Customer issues or complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Support account terms and assist with account collections as necessary.
  • Participate in determining appropriate credits and/or returns.
  • Enhance vendor relationships by supporting programs and collaborating with their representatives.
  • Attend and contribute to all sales or Company meetings.
  • Engage in Company-sponsored training sessions to improve selling skills and technical knowledge.
  • Prepare periodic budgets, action plans, summaries, and other reports as required by management.
  • Maintain regular communication with inside sales personnel and management.
  • Exhibit a professional image in personal appearance and preparation.
  • Adhere to Company and Sales Department policies and procedures.
  • Pursue ongoing knowledge of the Territory, Markets, and Competitors.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in industrial sales, preferably in material handling.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating honesty, ethics, and integrity consistently.
  • Ability to organize a sales strategy and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in time and territory management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and web searches.
  • Present a professional image in personal appearance and preparation.

Working Conditions:

Flexibility to accommodate Customer needs, which may require working beyond a standard 40-hour week, including some overnight travel and weekend commitments. A reliable vehicle is necessary for travel within the territory. The Branch office serves as the primary workspace for the Territory Manager. This position is exempt from paid overtime.
