Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Program Support Technician. This position will provide support to the Inmate Management Services (IMS) and Central Criminal Records, ensuring the accurate creation, retention, organization, reproduction, and archiving of inmate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and research requests for inmate records information
  • Ensure compliance with State, Federal, Local, and Departmental guidelines
  • Support Central Criminal Records in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Collaborate with IMS to ensure efficient operation of facilities
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to maintain sensitive information and accurate records
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with inmate records, Virginia CORIS, microfilm, and digital records resources
  • Prior experience working in a records office
