The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Support Specialist to join our team. As a Program Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of child support cases.
Key Responsibilities- Gather and organize information to meet requirements and create and update client records in automated systems.
- Process documents in assigned case management functions and communicate directly with clients, internal staff, and external agencies as needed.
- Research documentation to support actions by case management staff in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
- Experience in an office environment providing customer service to the general public.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and utilize legal and financial data, plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities, obtain and assess information/data through interviewing, independently research cases to resolve difficult problems, interpret and apply policies and procedures, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing with the general public and a diverse audience.
- Experience with a personal computer using remote access technology, email, automated information systems, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Experience in the use of office equipment, including network-based electronic mail machines and printers.
- Work experience in child support enforcement or other social service programs.
