Market Analysis Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Analyst to enhance our strategic consultancy division. Our consultancy team assists organizations aiming for expansion, product launches, or entry into new and emerging markets. The team you will be part of offers reliable and thorough market data and forecasts to underpin business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Market Analysis Consultant, your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Estimating and quantifying market dimensions, identifying principal competitors and their market shares, and discerning market trends through both desk and telephone research.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of statistical data.
  • Creating financial models and market sizing scenarios.
  • Designing and formatting market research surveys.
  • Producing high-quality analytical commentary that includes key insights and implications derived from research.
  • Generating high-quality visual representations of data, analyses, and findings.
  • Presenting and justifying the outcomes of research and modeling efforts.
  • Defining methodologies and developing cost and pricing estimates for quantitative aspects of proposals.
  • Maintaining, updating, and expanding Smithers' internal databases related to print, packaging, and other markets, specifically generating data and scenarios using statistical and economic models for reports and consultancy projects as needed.
  • Adopting a hybrid remote work schedule.
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
  • Proven experience in market sizing or a similar role is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to communicate logically, succinctly, and clearly in both written and verbal forms.
  • Expertise in data translation and analysis utilizing Excel functionalities.
  • Familiarity with industry analysis frameworks such as Porter's Five Forces.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Experience in the packaging and/or print sectors is advantageous.
