Market Analysis Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Analyst to become a vital part of our strategic consultancy division. This team assists organizations aiming for growth, product launches, or entry into new and developing markets. You will contribute to a team that provides reliable and thorough market data and forecasts to guide business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Market Analysis Consultant, your responsibilities will encompass:
  • Estimating and quantifying market sizes, identifying major players and their market shares, and analyzing market trends through desk and telephone research.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of statistical data.
  • Creating financial models and market sizing scenarios.
  • Designing and formatting market research surveys.
  • Producing high-quality reports that include insightful commentary and implications based on the research findings.
  • Developing visually appealing graphical representations of data and analyses.
  • Presenting and justifying the outcomes of research and modeling efforts.
  • Defining methodologies and formulating cost and pricing estimates for quantitative elements of proposals.
  • Maintaining and enhancing Smithers' internal databases related to print, packaging, and other markets, including generating data and scenarios using statistical and economic models for reports and consulting projects as necessary.
  • Participating in a hybrid remote work schedule.
We require candidates to possess the following qualifications and experience:
  • Proven experience in market sizing or a similar analytical role is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in data analysis and translation using Excel functionalities.
  • Familiarity with industry analysis frameworks such as Porter's Five Forces.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience in the packaging and/or print sectors is a plus.
