Position: Senior Enterprise Architecture Consultant

Location: Remote

Job Overview:

Emerald Resource Group is on the lookout for a seasoned and driven Senior Enterprise Architecture Consultant to enhance our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in defining the technical framework of our organization. Your extensive knowledge of architectural methodologies, principles, and frameworks, combined with your proficiency in essential technology platforms, infrastructure, database management, security protocols, and compliance regulations, will be vital. You will provide technical guidance and influence strategic initiatives that align with our Architecture practice, ultimately supporting our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Development:
  • Craft comprehensive and detailed architectural designs, including technical specifications and execution strategies.
  • Accountable for technical choices, documentation, and guidance for overarching designs and methodologies.
  • Deliver solutions based on a Reference Digital Integration Layer that connects diverse technology layers and applications globally.
  • Architect Microservices Technology platforms with an emphasis on reusability.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in digital transformation and integrate them into our technology strategy.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and dependability of technology solutions while addressing potential risks that could affect business operations.
  • Conduct gap, risk, and impact assessments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders across Enterprise Architecture and Product teams to identify opportunities for process and workflow enhancements through technology solutions.
Implementation & Management:
  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of deployed technologies and software products to meet service level agreements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures for the deployment and operation of new technologies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the deployment of new technologies, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Operational Oversight:
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing metrics to assess the effectiveness of the technology architecture and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Develop solutions to bolster cybersecurity strategies and safeguard the organization from internal and external threats.
  • Supervise the deployment of new technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Continuously assess and refine operational processes to boost efficiency and minimize risk.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in internal and external committees, working groups, and forums to disseminate knowledge and advocate for best practices in technical solutions.
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and other educational initiatives to share knowledge and enhance technical skills among team members and stakeholders.
  • Engage in talent acquisition and management processes to identify and recruit top talent while developing and retaining existing team members.
Qualifications:

Education & Certification: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Experience & Skills:
  • 10+ years of IT experience.
  • 8+ years in solution architecture and architectural frameworks.
  • 8+ years in Java/Spring Boot or similar platforms in a service-oriented environment.
  • Deep understanding of architectural patterns, principles, and frameworks.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) in public/hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure platform and services.
  • Extensive experience with Cloud and Enterprise Middleware technologies and architectures.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Agile product development experience using Scrum or Kanban.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools is advantageous.
