About the Role

GPD Group is seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to support our Federal practice in our Akron or Cleveland office locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading architectural design projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural design and documentation of various project types, including government buildings.
  • Conduct code research, programming, and client interfacing.
  • Develop design solutions and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with all disciplines of design, including engineers, designers, and outside consultants.
  • Support project managers with client meetings and correspondence.
  • Research and implement design solutions and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate field services, including land and building surveys, environmental studies, and geotechnical studies.
  • Perform building assessments and surveys.
  • Manage project documentation and administration.
  • Oversee construction administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's in Architecture preferred.
  • 5-15 years of experience in a lead architectural role.
  • Revit/BIM experience required.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and with individuals from various offices and disciplines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
