The Senior Enterprise Solutions Architect is tasked with establishing a comprehensive program and enhancing expertise in Architecture and Enterprise Application Portfolio Management, working closely with Product Owners.

This position will focus on developing architectural standards, principles, reference architectures, and best practices to streamline the design of applications and foundational platforms utilized in delivering business solutions.

Collaboration with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Domain Architects is essential to create optimal application architectures that are efficient, scalable, resilient, and adaptable to the evolving needs of the organization.

This role provides visionary architecture leadership, mentoring, training, structure, and support to elevate the maturity of our architectural practices and accelerate value creation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Define and uphold the overarching application and platform architecture for the organization.
  • Design applications that encompass custom-built solutions, Cloud SaaS, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate Enterprise Application Portfolio Roadmaps in partnership with Product Owners.
  • Work alongside Solution and Domain Architects to formulate application Roadmaps that delineate the long-term technical vision and strategy to advance business capabilities.
  • Establish, publish, and promote application architecture standards, models, principles, and reference patterns to expedite the delivery of architectures and solutions.
  • Advise on technical decisions and assess new technologies and tools to meet the organization's application and platform requirements.
  • Facilitate the continuous evolution of domain models, capability maps, and context views from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Contribute to the Architecture Knowledge Repository, including patterns, standards, and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with the ITSM organization to ensure the quality of CMDB information.
  • Design efficient continuous delivery pipelines (DevSecOps) to enhance the delivery of secure solutions.
  • Provide training, leadership, and mentorship to other technology professionals and architects within the organization.
  • Ensure that architectures are secure and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance the maturity of our architectural practices.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Offer technical leadership and support to projects beyond architecture as identified by management.
  • Proactively learn, research, and share new concepts, ideas, and technologies.
  • Facilitate meetings and follow up on resulting action items.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the technology landscape, including current trends and future possibilities.
  • Conduct research into new applications, tools, components, and frameworks.
  • Lead presentations that effectively communicate ideas, manage change, and motivate others to take action.
  • Participate in recruitment activities and uphold affirmative action obligations while ensuring compliance with equal employment opportunity policies.

Position Requirements
Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, or related field.
  • A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, CEAP, CSA, CSEA, or Cloud Architecture (AWS/Azure) are preferred.
  • Training/certifications in CSM, SAFe, ITIL, APQC, or similar are beneficial.

Knowledge & Experience
  • 12+ years of experience in IT.
  • 8+ years of experience in developing complex enterprise systems.
  • 8+ years of Application Architecture experience utilizing custom, COTS, or Cloud (SaaS/PaaS) components.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience applying systems thinking to create documentation, technical models, reference architecture, whitepapers, and presentations for various stakeholders.
  • Experience in the architecture and development of large-scale, high-risk, strategic Digital Transformation Programs, including ERP, Ecommerce, Enterprise Data Fabric, CRM, and Digital Workplace projects.
  • Experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining Enterprise Application Roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with modern integration technologies and microservice best practices.
  • Experience in guiding teams through architecture tradeoff management to achieve design decisions aligned with stakeholder priorities.
  • Experience in conducting proof-of-concepts, developing prototypes, and creating reference models.
  • Experience in developing and governing architecture standards and principles.

  • Prior experience in designing application & platform strategies and effectively communicating the vision to stakeholders.
  • Experience leading significant Digital transformation initiatives in key business areas.
  • Experience in Application Portfolio Management and Continuous Delivery Pipelines (DevOps).
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical concepts and convey them to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience in leading or presenting at industry conferences, publishing content, or actively participating in professional meetups/guilds.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud-native application architecture.
  • Experience applying international constraints and context to enterprise architecture.
  • Experience in deploying and training change management and enablement frameworks.
  • Experience in developing architecture for new product/platform teams.
  • Experience in applying systems and design thinking methodologies to architectural practices.
