Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior architects and designers to develop innovative and functional architectural solutions.
- Utilize advanced architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM to create detailed project plans and drawings.
- Ensure adherence to building codes, standards, and regulations across a diverse range of projects.
- Mentor junior team members, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative studio environment.
- Facilitate learning opportunities and promote continuous professional development within the team.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including in-house engineers and external consultants.
- Address design and technical challenges through creative problem-solving.
- Present design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders, ensuring their vision is integrated into the project.
- Maintain strong relationships through effective communication and responsive feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review drawings and specifications meticulously for accuracy and quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Licensed Architect.
- US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture plus a Master's degree in Architecture with over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Federal and/or Higher Education projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, and visualization tools such as Photoshop and SketchUp.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices relevant to transit projects.
- Ability to lead integrated design teams and manage project delivery from concept to completion.
- Client-facing experience and ability to lead discussions and charrettes.
- LEED Certification is a plus.
