Property Management Assistant - Clear Height Properties

A Property Management Assistant at Clear Height Properties plays a crucial role in supporting the operational and administrative aspects of our commercial real estate assets. This position is essential for ensuring property efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and overall financial performance under the guidance of the Managing Director of Property Management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular property inspections and evaluate maintenance requirements to maintain high standards of property conditions and tenant satisfaction.
  • Assist in tenant relations, lease negotiations, lease renewals, and move-in/move-out processes under the direction of the Property Manager.
  • Serve as a primary contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering a positive tenant experience.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair tasks to ensure prompt and effective resolution of tenant and property concerns.
  • Contribute to budget preparation and financial management efforts, tracking property expenses and revenue streams.
  • Manage vendor relationships, oversee service agreements, and ensure compliance with vendor insurance and risk management protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, lease agreements, and safety standards across managed properties.
  • Participate in capital improvement initiatives and tenant build-outs as directed by senior management.
  • Develop and implement emergency response strategies to ensure tenant safety and protect property assets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance property management strategies.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, particularly in property management is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Illinois Real Estate License (or in the process of obtaining) is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with property management software (e.g., YARDI, MRI).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively within deadlines in a dynamic environment.
