  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with company dress code policy.

Key Responsibilities

Control Expenses

  • Protect company assets in accordance with LIDS Retail policies.
  • Assist in scheduling store staff to ensure adequate coverage and meet company wage control guidelines.
  • Manage store inventory, including receiving, transferring, and conducting product counts.
  • Perform accurate product counts in a timely manner.
  • Document and record keeping in compliance with LIDS Retail policies and state and federal laws.
  • Open and close the store as required, following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.

Additional Key Responsibilities

Supervise Store Associates

  • Lead and develop store associates through LIDS Training Programs, goal setting, and regular feedback.
  • Administer progressive discipline, including verbal and written warnings, as needed.
  • Responsible for scheduling and staffing the store, including calling in associates to work during peak periods.
  • Participate in LIDS Training Programs and adhere to set goals and regular feedback.
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on store operations and procedures.
  • Encourage store associates to comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform tasks as needed and communicate with employees at all levels of the company.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to operate a computer and navigate software programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions independently.

Additional Required Knowledge and Skills

Assistant store managers earn a competitive salary, ranging from 15% to 35% above the local minimum wage, based on experience. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. FT Assistant Store Managers are also eligible for monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount. Full-time employees are eligible for a range of benefits, including Paid Time Off, health, vision, dental, and 401(k).
