We are currently in search of a Manufacturing Manager for the Final Assembly Process to oversee our operations. This managerial role is crucial in guiding a team of skilled professionals responsible for the concluding phases of our assembly line, ensuring that each refuse truck body is accurately mounted onto the truck chassis. This includes overseeing the preparation process, wiring, and hydraulic systems. A high level of technical expertise and the capacity to foster innovation are essential for this position.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a safe working environment and promote adherence to safety protocols among team members.
  • Coordinate and manage manufacturing schedules effectively.
  • Design efficient manufacturing workflows and implement changes as necessary, applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for productivity enhancements and support the execution of improvements.
  • Supervise the efforts of team leaders, ensuring seamless coordination of work, minimal downtime, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and refine procedures to minimize process variability and manufacturing delays while boosting productivity.
  • Review staffing needs, engage in the hiring process, and set clear expectations in collaboration with supervisors.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, evaluation, and potential termination of employees in line with company policies.
  • Manage performance and collaborate with HR on disciplinary matters when necessary.
  • Communicate with other departments to guarantee that team members have the required materials and equipment.
  • Manage labor costs in accordance with budgetary constraints.
  • Align production schedules with supporting departments and address manufacturing challenges related to methods, tools, materials, and workforce.
  • Convey expectations and challenges to team leaders.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a leadership capacity is required.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to generate performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Understanding of processes and equipment relevant to a similar industry.
  • Capability to plan and implement changes effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts, including fractions and angles.
  • Financial acumen to make decisions that affect profitability.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to create documents and spreadsheets, as well as utilize Payroll and ERP software.
