We are currently seeking a Chassis Preparation Specialist to play a vital role in our manufacturing operations. This individual will be responsible for preparing the chassis to accommodate the refuse truck, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal fit and functionality. We are open to training the right candidate.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the chassis for the truck body by installing various brackets.
  • Modify the chassis frame to fit the truck body by relocating fuel tanks, battery boxes, air dryers, air tanks, and managing air and fuel line routing.
  • Utilize plasma cutters, torches, and grinders for modifications.
  • Ensure that the final product aligns with the work order and any change orders.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required.
  • Promote safety by operating equipment responsibly and reporting any hazards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics.
  • Preferred: Certification for crane and forklift operation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Mathematical skills, including the ability to understand fractions and angles.
  • Capability to read tape measures, technical documents, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to foster a positive team environment and maintain regular attendance.
