We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated individual to enhance our wiring department and contribute significantly to our manufacturing operations. This role involves the installation of wiring and electrical components within garbage truck assemblies.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Assemble wire looms, install lights and switches, and efficiently wire the final product to optimize production.
  • Ensure product accuracy by adhering to specifications, work orders, and established practices.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on your work to verify functionality and aesthetics.
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent production interruptions and coordinate with Purchasing for necessary components.
  • Possess a solid understanding of electrical wiring, particularly 12 Volt DC systems.
  • Utilize a forklift for the movement of garbage truck assemblies.
  • Position garbage truck assemblies onto chassis using a crane.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical abilities with a good grasp of fractions.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Install reflectors on cover sheets.
  • Operate machinery safely and report any associated hazards to the Safety and Maintenance Departments.
  • Preferred experience of at least 1 year with 12 Volt DC systems, forklift operation, and manual/power tools.
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
