We are currently in search of a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Final Assembly Process to become a vital part of our team. This role involves overseeing a skilled workforce responsible for the concluding phases of our assembly operations.

In this capacity, you will ensure that each refuse truck body is accurately mounted onto the truck chassis, managing essential processes such as preparation, wiring, and hydraulic systems.


Your Responsibilities:
  • Foster a safe working environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee and coordinate manufacturing schedules effectively.
  • Design efficient manufacturing lines and implement changes as necessary, utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to enhance productivity and facilitate the implementation of improvements.
  • Direct the efforts of Supervisors, ensuring optimal coordination of work, minimal downtime, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop procedures to minimize process variations and manufacturing delays while boosting productivity.
  • Review staffing requests, engage in the hiring process, and establish performance expectations in collaboration with Supervisors.
  • Manage the hiring, training, evaluation, and potential termination of employees in line with company policies.
  • Handle performance management and collaborate with HR in disciplinary matters.
  • Coordinate with other departments to guarantee that team members have the necessary materials and equipment.
  • Manage labor costs within budgetary constraints.
  • Align production schedules with support departments and address manufacturing challenges related to methods, tools, materials, and workforce.
  • Communicate expectations and challenges effectively to Supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership position is required.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and the ability to generate metrics.
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of processes and equipment relevant to a similar industry.
  • Capability to plan and implement changes efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient mathematical skills, including a solid understanding of fractions and angles.
  • Financial acumen to make decisions impacting profitability.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to create documents and spreadsheets, as well as utilize Payroll and Enterprise Resource Planning software.
