Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Monday to Thursday, Fridays 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Work Environment: Onsite at The Crossroads Center

At The Crossroads Center, our mission is to empower individuals to enhance their lives. We are seeking a dedicated Revenue Cycle Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in our commitment to positively impacting our clients' experiences.

Role Summary:

As a Revenue Cycle Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with the Billing Supervisor to manage various components of the revenue cycle. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks such as verifying insurance, processing billing, collecting payments from both insurance providers and patients, posting cash payments, and delivering outstanding patient service.

Primary Duties:

  • Investigate and resolve patient inquiries, assist team members with account-related questions, and help prepare weekly patient statements.
  • Perform insurance verifications and confirm eligibility and benefits information for scheduled patients to ensure precise claim submissions and payments.
  • Engage with patients prior to their appointments to discuss their financial obligations, including co-payments due at the time of service.
  • Compile and submit claims to insurance providers based on electronic medical record data.
  • Review initial claims and manage billing through practice management software.
  • Validate claims and implement necessary corrections for accurate and timely submissions.
  • Address disputed balances utilizing billing and practice management software.
  • Work in conjunction with management and other revenue cycle personnel to optimize processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office, business office, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
