Key Responsibilities:

Patient Financial Guidance
  • Assist patients in addressing insurance-related questions and provide clarity on their financial obligations.
  • Discuss and present various payment alternatives, including budget plans and credit options.
  • Facilitate the establishment of new payment arrangements and manage hardship applications.

Pre-Collection Duties
  • Generate cost estimates for medical procedures, inform patients of their financial commitments, and collect payments in advance.
  • Document and report any unsuccessful pre-collection attempts to the practice.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Ensure the confidentiality of patient financial and medical information.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal teams and external parties regarding patient accounts.
  • Stay updated on job-related skills through ongoing training initiatives.
  • Engage in compliance and loss prevention efforts within the facility.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and business conduct standards.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in medical office financial counseling, collections, or billing is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in numerical analysis and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus on customer relations.

Physical Requirements:

The role requires effective hearing and oral communication, visual acuity, mobility, and the ability to handle objects, with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 lbs. The average lifting requirement is under 10 lbs.
