Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support designated software applications utilized in Patient Financial Services and Revenue Cycle operations, adhering to departmental standards and protocols.
- Act as a liaison with Information Systems & Technology and third-party vendors to apply system functionalities and upgrades, including testing and validation.
- Develop and generate reports using various applications, analyzing outcomes to maintain data integrity and identify strategic trends.
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education:
- Associate's Degree in Information Systems or a related field.
- Epic Hospital Billing and/or Epic Clarity Data Model certification preferred within one year.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience; 5 years preferred.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support third-party systems by maintaining, troubleshooting, and liaising with vendors.
- Provide documented solutions to problems to support offered services.
- Execute application design changes according to established procedures.
- Develop comprehensive application test plans and perform thorough testing to ensure requirements are met.
- Offer user training and support to customers and operational staff.
System Security Management
- Manage access to multiple applications and payer online software.
- Utilize the Service Request system for documentation and resolution tracking.
- Implement methods for monitoring and terminating user access as needed.
System Definition
- Define and design system tables and parameters to optimize application functionality.
- Collaborate effectively with vendors, UC Health IS&T, and end users to evaluate and implement products.
Report Design and Production
- Create ad-hoc reports to fulfill customer requests and automate reporting where applicable.
- Maintain support for all application tables and reports.
Customer Relationships
- Facilitate end-user meetings and develop consensus within user groups.
- Foster high client satisfaction and process improvements through effective communication.
Project Support
- Provide detailed task-level information for project plans, including suggested schedules and required skill sets.
- Document and ensure timely resolution of project issues while coordinating effectively with team members and vendors.
Other duties as assigned. Occasional backup for other application analysts may be required.
