Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team at Stanford University Lee Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct histological experiments, including perfusion, tissue harvest, sectioning, staining, and microscopy.
- Manage rodent colonies, including genotyping and breeding.
- Design and execute rodent behavioral experiments.
- Perform stereotaxic surgery.
- Amplify plasmids and perform transfection.
Research Focus:
- Investigate circuit mechanisms underlying behavior and neurological disorders, including Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, autism, and epilepsy.
- Study whole brain pathology, immune system, circuit function, and dysfunction.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with a team of experts, including a lab manager, data scientist, MRI physicist, and junior wet lab assistant.
- Collaborate with research scientists, post-docs, and graduate students.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.
- Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience post-Bachelor's degree.
