Stanford University is seeking an experienced Immunologist to join our team as a Life Science Research Professional 2. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in immunology, with a focus on developing immunotherapeutics.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in immunology, with a focus on developing immunotherapeutics
- Work with the PI on projects focused on developing immunotherapeutics, as well as within project teams focused on different immune receptors
- Develop and implement new research protocols as needed
- Collaborate with other researchers and teams to advance our understanding of immunology and develop new treatments
- Contribute to the preparation of papers for publication and present research findings at academic conferences
- Ph.D. or M.D. degree with at least 3 years of relevant postdoctoral research experience in academia and/or industry
- Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles, with a strong background in immunology, in vitro and in vivo analysis of TCR and cytokine signaling, in vivo mouse tumor models, and protein biochemistry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external organizations
The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced research environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and contributing to the advancement of our understanding of immunology.
The position will require working in close proximity to blood-borne pathogens and may involve work with hazardous materials and/or infectious diseases.
The employee must be able to perform tasks that require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and shoes, protective clothing and gloves, and possibly a respirator.
