The Strategic Vendor Partnership Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to drive profitability for assigned vendors. This role will collaborate with cross-functional departments to maximize sales and vendor profitability, and develop new business strategies to work closely with the sales organization on execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the vendor's value proposition and be able to promote and communicate it effectively to assigned vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to maximize sales and vendor profitability
* Develop new business strategies and work closely with the sales organization on execution
* Promote and communicate D&H's value proposition to assigned vendors
* Develop and manage action plans to maximize vendor profitability
* Develop and present initiatives, strategic proposals and marketing plans to assigned vendors
* Assist the Business Unit Leadership team in developing and executing business plans for assigned vendors
* Work with the finance department to track vendor profitability and develop strategies for improvement
* Develop strategic relationships with the assigned vendors and facilitate executive level relationships between the vendor and assigned vendors
* Assume role as primary point of contact with assigned vendors
* Understand and align vendor priorities and strategies within D&H
* Ensure that the vendor key operating metrics are achieved
Requirements
* Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working for a distributor or vendor
