About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Administrative Associate 2 to join our team at Stanford University's Department of Pathology. In this role, you will provide administrative support to faculty and staff, serve as a liaison between departments, and assist with various tasks including scheduling, event planning, and financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Serve as a resource regarding departmental policies and procedures
• Coordinate events, conferences, and seminars, including vendor management and logistics
• Draft and generate routine communications, such as emails and reports
• Plan and schedule calendars, resolving conflicts and arranging travel as needed
• Process and monitor financial transactions, researching and resolving discrepancies
• Maintain office supplies and equipment, obtaining quotes as necessary
• Coordinate office moves and ensure a smooth transition
• Greet and escort guest visitors, maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere

Requirements
• High school diploma and three years of administrative experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact with all levels of staff
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively
• Professional demeanor, with ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
