Stanford University is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Associate 4 to provide complex administrative or operational support with minimal supervision. This position involves overseeing other administrative staff or subordinates, and may be responsible for establishing priorities and identifying and resolving problems that are administrative in nature.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively. They will also have advanced computer skills, experience with office software and email applications, and proven success in following through and completing projects.

This role offers a competitive salary of $44,840 - $50,430 per year, which reflects the university's commitment to attracting and retaining top talent. As an Administrative Associate 4 at Stanford University, you will be responsible for a range of complex tasks, including:

  • Acting on behalf of supervisors, department managers, or chairs in regards to establishing priorities and identifying and resolving problems
  • Researching and writing background information for meetings, participating in meetings on supervisor's behalf, and informing after the fact
  • Overseeing and performing duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating complex conferences, seminars, and events
  • Composing and drafting documents and correspondence for presentations, course handouts, grants, conferences, seminars, and reports
  • Planning and scheduling calendars without prior consultation, resolving calendaring conflicts, and arranging travel in compliance with unit, university, and sponsor policies

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and six years of administrative experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service and interpersonal skills, and the ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
