The San Francisco Giants' Partnership & Business Development team is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to creating and maintaining lasting and meaningful corporate partnerships. About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, Partnership Activation, to lead a team responsible for delivering best-in-class sponsorship fulfillment and customer service for all Giants corporate sponsors. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, able to guide a team of exceptional Account Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, education, inspiration, and support to ensure successful planning, relationship management, and execution of partnerships marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support a team of Account Managers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful planning and execution of partnerships marketing campaigns.
  • Develop opportunities to present and pursue incremental Giants opportunities with key sponsors.
  • Collaborate with various functional areas throughout the organization to drive seamless integration and execution, delivering a mutually beneficial experience for clients and driving long-term relationships.
  • Develop and expand non-traditional business development programs, such as Giants Vacations, Giants Fantasy Camp, and Giants Youth Camp programs.
  • Set and exceed sponsorship services department performance and client satisfaction objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in leading teams, business development, partnerships, or related roles, preferably in the sports, entertainment, or media industries.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing high-quality partnerships, including multi-year deals with significant revenue.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a deep understanding of the sports industry, domestic and international market trends, sponsorship, and partnership dynamics.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and innovative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field, with an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, and CRM software (Salesforce, Tableau), with familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (Scarborough Sports Marketing & Nielsen Repucom) a plus.
