Job Summary

The Community Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in fostering and nurturing significant connections within the stylist community to enhance sales and educational initiatives through our retail locations. This position will embody and champion the SalonCentric Omni-Channel experience, ensuring a comprehensive engagement for our clientele, team members, and the broader community.

In this hybrid role, the Community Manager will allocate approximately 40% of their time within stores to coordinate events and educational programs, maintain a robust digital presence, and fulfill the administrative responsibilities necessary for strategic business planning and evaluation. The remaining 60% will be dedicated to fieldwork, providing essential business tools, support, and enhancing brand visibility and community relations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Establish meaningful and productive relationships between SalonCentric and the local stylist community by engaging with Salon Suites and supporting independent stylists, salons, and local cosmetology schools.
  • Organize and facilitate events to promote SalonCentric/PPD brand visibility.
  • Identify and cultivate new partnerships with stylists and students within the local stylist community.
  • Collaborate with SalonCentric's brand partners to foster new alliances.
  • Leverage social media and digital communities to enhance engagement.
  • Participate in high-performance activities utilizing omni-channel tools that provide added value.
  • Execute special projects under the guidance of the District Mentor.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation within the community.
  • Develop a vision and long-term strategy to support an Omni-Channel approach for operational support in both retail and outside sales, driving key performance indicators to support these enhancements.
  • Utilize strategic business tools to increase brand awareness, profitability, and sales.
  • Manage daily operational tasks using company tools, systems, and processes, including expense reports, account information, sales reports, and opportunity lists.
  • Engage in regular conversations with stylists regarding promotions, events, trends, and techniques.
  • Enhance visibility and brand awareness within the community by encouraging stylists to take full advantage of SalonCentric offerings.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and market trends to identify growth and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to internal stakeholders on the effectiveness of beauty partner programs.
  • Drive sales growth by facilitating educational and promotional events, including area classes, workshops, and in-salon education.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in cosmetic or retail management or 2+ years of retail or salon leadership experience required.
  • Independent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-directed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative skill set.
  • Creative in identifying opportunities and solving problems.
  • Proven track record of driving sales and achieving profit objectives.
  • Thorough understanding of the competitive landscape.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with various business partners and vendors.
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce & Point of Sale Systems.
  • Ability to stand and move around the store for most of the day.
  • Willingness to travel for sales meetings and district meetings.
  • Availability to work some evenings and weekends.

Salary Range: $68,000 to $78,000 per year
