At Cynet Systems, the Guest and Host Technology team is dedicated to enhancing the overall experience for both guests and hosts. Our focus encompasses a wide array of product areas, including the homepage, search functionalities, booking processes, and the entire journey from pre-trip to post-trip for guests, along with the tools and interfaces utilized by Hosts.
We are engaged in launching new product verticals from inception while refining the existing Guest and Host pathways, as well as supporting established verticals related to individual Homes, Experiences, multiple Homes, and Hotels within our platform.
As a Technical Program Manager, you will oversee a variety of intricate projects and programs that span multiple product areas, services, functions, and teams. This role requires maintaining a comprehensive perspective while also delving into the specifics to navigate unique challenges effectively.
This position is pivotal in enhancing the quality and efficiency of cross-functional team efforts, acting as a 'force multiplier'. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing project timelines and schedules.
- Identifying potential risks and discussing technical trade-offs with engineering teams.
- Ensuring clear communication across various stakeholder groups within the organization.
- Creating and refining processes to make work more repeatable and efficient.
In essence, your role will be to bring clarity to complex situations, dive into details, and communicate effectively and promptly. You will excel in building relationships, inspiring others with a clear vision, and leveraging data to persuade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication with leadership and across teams to uphold accountability and manage timelines.
- Define and align on success metrics.
- Regularly evaluate risks and opportunities.
- Quickly assimilate new technologies with minimal delay.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to oversee engineering deliverables for major product launches, from conceptualization through to validation and launch.
- Proactively identify and manage technical dependencies within project plans.
- Identify and quantify risks proactively.
- Lead the development of mitigation strategies with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills:
- Experience managing large-scale technology migrations and running parallel tracks with high visibility to leadership.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and develop detailed solutions.
- Capability to take a vague problem, articulate the challenge clearly, identify a viable path forward, and drive initiatives to completion.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to adapt and collaborate with teams operating under different cadences.
- Strong business acumen, ability to influence others, excellent analytical skills, and a history of taking ownership and leading data-driven analyses.
- Experience in developing processes in environments with minimal existing frameworks, demonstrating flexibility to achieve results.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to grasp the broader context using technical expertise and problem-solving skills to prioritize and address blocking issues.
- Experience in a highly cross-functional environment where effective communication with multiple groups is essential.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- A BA/BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience in technical project management or a related field.
