Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Steward to join our team at Delicato Family Wines. As a Steward, you will play a critical role in supporting our culinary and hospitality teams in maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef in food preparation, including slicing, portioning, and other light kitchen tasks.
  • Support the culinary team during events and day-to-day operations.
  • Execute deep cleaning projects of the winery spaces as directed by the Chef.
  • Maintain the trash program by taking out trash and ensuring receptacles are clean.
  • Assist the hospitality team with event setup and breakdown.
  • Support the tasting room team with setting up and bussing the tasting room spaces.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior kitchen experience preferred.
  • Current Food Handler Card.
  • Basic English speaking and reading skills.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling, preparation procedures, and precautionary procedures of chemicals, detergents, and sanitizers.
Working Conditions
  • General restaurant environment.
  • Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to the elements/temperature variations.
  • Exposure to weather-related temperature & humidity extremes.
  • Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Work in close quarters or confined spaces.
  • Exposure to varying levels of dust, chemicals, fumes, gases, and noisy equipment.
