About the Role:

Our client, a distinguished national general contractor, excels in leading intricate commercial construction initiatives.

They are seeking a seasoned Superintendent to oversee operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are executed successfully while maintaining a safe working environment, delivering quality construction, implementing effective LEAN methodologies, managing costs, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Champion the Zero-Injury Safety initiative.
  • Interpret and comprehend project drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure quality assurance through a structured three-phase quality control approach.
  • Establish and uphold efficient worksite logistics.
  • Oversee project timelines, including daily supervision and coordination of construction tasks.
  • Conduct daily Site-Wide Huddles and Plan of the Day Meetings.
  • Proactively manage and control project expenditures.
  • Utilize construction management and project management software effectively.
  • Encourage the professional growth and mentorship of team members.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial construction Superintendent or in a similar capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in ground-up commercial construction projects as a Superintendent or ideally as a Senior Superintendent.
  • Advanced education, training, or certifications in construction management.
  • Exemplary leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with modern construction technologies and systems (e.g., AutoDesk Build, Procore, Phoenix).
  • Experience with contemporary construction processes and project management systems (e.g., Lean Construction, Flow scheduling, 3-Phase Control).
  • Proven ability to adhere to construction safety regulations and standards.
  • Experience in interviewing, hiring, managing direct reports, and supporting performance management initiatives.
