Position Overview

Amivision is on the lookout for a talented and versatile Lighting Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our innovative team. In this position, you will oversee the installation, management, and upkeep of our state-of-the-art AI lighting solutions during various tours and events. Collaborating closely with artists, production crews, and event planners, you will ensure the flawless execution of lighting concepts, creating memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Installation and Management: Set up, manage, and troubleshoot Amivision's AI lighting systems during live performances, guaranteeing peak performance and compliance with design requirements.
  • On-Site Technical Assistance: Deliver immediate technical support and expertise to resolve any equipment challenges that may occur during events.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with lighting designers, production teams, and artists to realize creative lighting visions and enhance the overall event ambiance.
  • Equipment Upkeep: Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of lighting apparatus to ensure dependability and reduce downtime.
  • Logistical Coordination: Oversee the transport, setup, and dismantling of lighting equipment for tours and events, ensuring all logistical elements are managed effectively.
  • Safety Adherence: Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and standards during the setup and operation of equipment.
  • Issue Resolution: Swiftly identify and rectify technical problems in high-pressure, live-event situations to ensure uninterrupted performance.
  • Record Keeping: Keep comprehensive records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and technical challenges for ongoing improvement and future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in live event production, particularly in lighting engineering and technology.
  • Strong technical proficiency and understanding of lighting control systems and DMX protocols.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven lighting systems or similar advanced technologies is advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by the tour schedule.
  • Physical capability to lift and transport heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Must possess valid US work authorization or US passport. Travel visas will be arranged by Amivision.

Education:

  • A degree or certification in Technical Theatre, Lighting Design, or a related discipline is preferred.
