About the Role

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems within our data centers, focusing on both HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and DLC (direct liquid cooling) systems. This role requires a highly skilled engineer with a strong understanding of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to ensure efficient and reliable cooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Manage Mechanical Engineering Reference Design: Create and manage a mechanical engineering reference design consisting of efficient and reliable HVAC and DLC systems for data centers.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Perform Thermal Analysis and Simulations: Perform thermal analysis and simulations to optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with other engineers and architects to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
  • Monitor and Optimize System Performance: Monitor and optimize the performance of mechanical systems.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Technologies: Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices in HVAC and DLC designs.
About You
  • Education and Experience: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with three to five years of experience in mechanical engineering design and implementation for data centers.
  • Analytical Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical problem solver who is able to evaluate engineering challenges from multiple vantages using first principles approach.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools, and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Communication and Leadership Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to delegate and manage third-party design consultants, ensuring timely delivery of design.
