Position Overview

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000

Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. is on the lookout for a proactive Human Resources Operations Specialist with a solid background in managing HR policies and procedures. This role encompasses various responsibilities including onboarding new hires, overseeing benefits administration, handling FMLA leaves, and facilitating daily HR functions. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical skills, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while striving for continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and document all Leaves of Absence for both union and non-union personnel.
  • Calculate and administer leave pay in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Manage Benefits Administration for non-union staff.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new non-union employees.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing documentation and maintaining personnel files.
  • Provide daily internal support to staff and management.
  • Collaborate with payroll and other systems to update employee records as necessary.
  • Coordinate necessary documentation for the leave process.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures while maintaining personnel records.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a similar discipline.
  • PHR Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, particularly Viewpoint Construction Software.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry or union environments is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on conflict resolution.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and assist colleagues.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in all work-related matters.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • General work environment includes prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 30 lbs.
