POSITION SUMMARY
The Art Gallery Sales Consultant plays a pivotal role in assisting clients with their selections of countertops and fixtures. This position involves scheduling personalized consultations with a Design Consultant and conducting interactions through various channels including phone, virtual meetings, and email. The Sales Consultant is a vital member of the residential retail sales team, contributing to lead generation for in-home consultations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and engage customers as they enter the gallery space.
  • Evaluate customer needs and arrange in-home consultations for the Design Consultant, while providing product guidance for clients of wholesale partners.
  • Interact with customers through virtual, in-person, or telephonic means to address product inquiries and set up consultations.
  • Encourage and suggest additional products or upgrades.
  • Input and maintain comprehensive customer information in database systems.
  • Prepare product samples with relevant identification and details for customers.
  • Participate in lead generation initiatives and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure prompt delivery of quotes and follow up as needed.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts through digital channels.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and manage feedback databases.
  • Assist in maintaining the showroom to uphold brand standards for quality and presentation.
  • Perform light cleaning of the showroom and products.
  • Execute additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of product lines, design trends, and the customer journey from initial quote to final sale.
  • Achieve weekly, quarterly, and annual targets for lead generation, nurturing, quote-to-sale ratios, and retail sales.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Availability to work during all showroom hours, including weekends and some evenings.
  • Organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and interruptions.
  • Exhibits a positive attitude and respect towards others.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on personalized service.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing customer needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous sales experience.
  • Experience in a design center or home improvement sector.
  • Familiarity with CRM (customer relationship management) software.
  • Experience in scheduling appointments.
