Job Summary:

As an Electrical Engineer at Career Collective, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems in commercial buildings. Your role involves ensuring that electrical systems are safe, reliable, and meet regulatory standards. You will collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions for commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical System Design:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial buildings, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, and emergency backup systems.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards, such as NEC (National Electrical Code).

System Testing and Commissioning:

  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure they function correctly and meet design specifications.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all electrical designs and installations adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

  • Prepare cost estimates for electrical systems and contribute to overall project budgeting.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on commercial projects.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards, particularly NEC.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.

Certifications:

EIT or PE is preferred
