Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Engineering: Develop and implement electrical systems for solar PV systems and energy storage, including system layout, hardware selection, and infrastructure design. Perform AC/DC sizing calculations and ensure high-quality standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee electrical design for multiple projects, ensuring adherence to budget and timeline. Manage utility-scale solar and storage projects, and coordinate with civil, structural, and other engineers to integrate designs.
  • Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Work closely with various engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct electrical calculations and studies, maintain high design standards, and ensure quality control.
  • Industry Awareness and Construction Support: Stay updated on equipment and best practices in renewable energy. Apply industry advancements to project designs, and address contractor and owner queries, participate in site surveys, and review construction documents.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-7 years in electrical design for renewable energy, specifically solar and battery storage.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software, MS Office, and understanding of electrical construction techniques. Experience with utility-scale PV projects and BESS is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC and NESC standards.
  • Communication and Project Management: Strong written and verbal skills for effective interaction with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. Ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
