Job Summary

Meade Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our design team as a Substation Design Engineer. This role will involve designing high and medium voltage electrical distribution systems for large-scale data center campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical substations and high/medium voltage distribution systems for data center campuses.
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline design teams, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Lead the QA/QC process and sign off on engineering documents.
  • Perform substation testing and commissioning as needed.
  • Develop proposals, including scope of work and estimates.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in professional substation engineering design, including high/medium voltage power distribution and transmission line design.
  • Valid P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to work as a team and lead others.
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit.
