Key Responsibilities

OBXtek is seeking a Senior Space Acquisition Consultant to support the Acquisition Delta Global Positioning Systems (CGV), Space Systems Command. This role will provide vital acquisition assistance to the Global Positioning System (GPS) divisions, specifically for GPS Block III and GPS Block IIIF satellites. You will collaborate with the Military Communication & Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (MilCom & PNT) Directorate.

The MilCom & PNT Directorate is tasked with delivering a wide array of acquisition capabilities and executing effective program management for space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition initiatives.

This position involves daily interactions with civilian Division Chiefs and Directorate leadership. The selected candidate will deliver personnel management support to Space Force clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the development, procurement, data collection, modification/enhancement, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, verification, validation, protection, and maintenance of tools, processes, guidelines, methodologies, models, simulations, databases, websites, reports, and applications to aid in the execution of acquisition and sustainment programs.
  • Assisting with business operations by extracting program-specific information, conducting assessments, and performing analyses and reviews.
  • Evaluating and advising on various phases of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution processes for specific programs.
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating instructions, implementation guides, charters, and standardized processes.
  • Utilizing critical thinking and expertise to devise solutions for complex challenges faced by our clients.
  • Compiling weekly reports and presentations.
  • Drafting documents and staff packages.
  • Understanding the structures, processes, procedures, instructions, and guidance of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and Space Force.
  • Supporting client meetings by preparing read-ahead materials, drafting meeting minutes, and tracking assigned action items.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000/year

Qualifications

US Citizenship and possession of a current Top Secret/SCI Clearance are mandatory.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • A minimum of 15 years of extensive, relevant experience in high-visibility or mission-critical program aspects.
  • APDP Level III or equivalent certification is required.
  • Proven ability to advise, innovate, optimize, and provide comprehensive recommendations to Government Senior Leaders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with DoD, Air Force, and/or Space Force tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in business is preferred (a Master's degree in an unrelated field requires an additional 2 years of relevant experience or a relevant Professional Certification).
