Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in systems engineering across the entire lifecycle
  • Offer technical oversight of development efforts, ensuring alignment with program requirements and objectives
  • Develop operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs to support complex space acquisition programs
  • Conduct model-based systems engineering and analysis to identify system challenges and propose solutions
  • Maintain Configuration Management of the program technical baseline, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Manage risk management processes to mitigate potential risks and ensure program success

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent
  • 12+ years of systems engineering experience in a DoD acquisition program, with a strong background in space systems
  • Experience in the Space Control mission area, with a deep understanding of system engineering lifecycle and milestones
  • Skill in identifying system challenges and proposing solutions, with a strong analytical mindset
  • Active TS SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain additional clearances as required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of systems engineering experience in a DoD acquisition program, with a strong background in space systems
  • Professional certification in systems engineering or a related field
