Key Responsibilities
- Engage with senior leaders and space-related stakeholders to ascertain their analytical requirements and translate these into actionable work products.
- Comprehend and manage current and Future Operational Concepts (FOCs), operational scenarios, and system specifications to create representative simulations for evaluating space systems and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain model-based system engineering (MBSE) Systems Modeling Language (SysML) data models to support modeling, simulation, and analysis in collaboration with government and industry partners.
- Participate actively in Agile analytical sprint processes and ceremonies.
- Work alongside software developers to ensure that space-related Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) frameworks accurately reflect agent-based platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analytical experts to guide advanced analytical methodologies and assess outcomes.
- Engage with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine MBSE data.
- Conduct research on technical development aspects to ensure the accuracy of platform and system models.
- Present analytical findings and products to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 to 15 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 3 to 13 years of experience. Educational qualifications may be substituted for experience.
- Experience in space domain operations across various areas, including satellite communications, positioning, navigation, timing, astrodynamics, missile warning, and space domain awareness.
- Relevant experience in joint space warfighting within operational or testing organizations.
- Familiarity with modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with clients and colleagues to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A natural curiosity and a drive to challenge oneself and others.
- Capability to present findings and analytical models to senior leaders.
- This role necessitates an active Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information eligibility. U.S. citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Joint Environment or Combatant Command.
- Experience with the Missile Defense Agency or Space Delta 2.
- Completion of Space 100, 200, or 300 courses.
- Ability to code in relevant programming languages (Python preferred, MATLAB acceptable) for modeling and data analytics.
- Experience with database languages (MongoDB preferred).
- Participation in joint military utility assessments.
- Familiarity with Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Experience with Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with Model-Based System Engineering software (Cameo Systems Modeler preferred).
- Experience with orbital analysis visualization tools.
Compensation
The target salary range for this position is $102,000 - $180,000. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including skills, experience, education, and certifications.
